About the book
“Ek maara jaye bohur chaap’e” is a collection of self-composed poetries as well as a collection of one’s myriad shades of thoughts through the means of poetry. It’s a canvas painted with different colours of the mind; some bright, some dull, some light and some dark. It speaks of the blossoms and the banes of nature. It speaks of the blessings and dooms that the society has brought upon its people. It speaks of travelogues and histories. It speaks of love, joy, pain, suffering, happiness, desires, truths, and so much more.
About the author
Shibnath Chatterjee was born on June 27 th , 1954, in Cossipore, Calcutta. He did his primary schooling from Haranath High School and later did his Bachelor’s in Physics from Motijheel College, Calcutta. Being interested in Library Sciences, he did a Certificate Course in the same in 1974 from Bengal Library Association. Later he finished his B.Lib and M.Lib from Calcutta University. His work life started in 1979 as a teacher in Physics in Calcutta Academy. In 1980, he joined the Defense Accounts in the post of an Auditor but owing to the poverty in his family he joined New Bank in 1981 which later merged with Punjab National Bank. Being a wanderlust boy, the mountains, the open sky, the unknown, called him.
He started trekking from 1981. To Kedar-Badri, Annapurna Base Camp, Kulu-Kumari, Bramha Base Camp, Muktinath, Larke-La, etc. He joined Mountain Quest of Calcutta in the year 1995.
Writing, and thus pouring his heart out is a source of immense pleasure to him. He seeks solace in his writings. “Ek maara jaye bohur chaap’e” is the first solo collection of poetries by the author.
