About the book

Jharokha deals with different aspects of “Happily ever after” from a new perspective and interpretation. The various themes include the aftermath of separation in love, the journey of self-realization and discovering oneself, the journey of the issue of migrant labourers, the sensitivities of physical violence, etc. The book questions the prevalent notions of love and break-up; how it affects not only the people involved but also the ones around them, also narrates the process of moving on and ahead in life after traumatic experiences in life. The Book uses anecdotal references to mythology as well as religion to put forth the ideas of multifaceted experiences in a person's life. It also talks about syncretism also questioning the present undercurrents in the 'largest democracy of the world.


About the author

Deepak Kumar Mishra, a resident of Delhi, is a civil engineering professional, who acknowledged his love for literature during the adversaries of the pandemic. This book, being his first venture, is a torchbearer for a lot of new dimensions to be unleashed in future. Apart from this anthology, he is also working on his eponymous novel in the English language.
