About Dr. Jayanti Verma (Brown)
Dr. Jayanti Verma (Brown) is a distinguished academic, educator, and writer with extensive contributions to Hindi language and literature. She holds an M.A. in Hindi Language and Literature and a Ph.D., and has devoted her career to teaching, research, and academic development.
Her engagement with writing began during her student years, when she contributed articles to Kishor-Shiksha, a magazine published by the Education Department of the Government of Bihar. Her articles explored educational and literary topics of interest to students.
After completing her B.A. (Honours), she taught at St. Paul School in Barauni Refinery Township, Begusarai, and later at Notre Dame Academy, Munger. Following her postgraduate studies, she served as a lecturer at Dr. R.K. Women's College and R.D.S.Y. Science College in Munger until her retirement.
Dr. Verma has also regularly contributed articles on Hindi literature to newspapers and magazines. Her interests extend to psychology, drama, and music, reflecting her wide-ranging academic and creative interests.
