About the author

Toki Blah is an IAS officer of the 1972 batch. He was allocated and worked in the Uttar Pradesh cadre. The book is a collection of his field experiences while in UP together with his memories of his childhood and youth spent in Shillong, the Capital of Meghalaya, in the North East of India. He is married to his wife Bidalin. He lives in Shillong together with his two children. His retired life is spent writing columns for the local English dailies of the state as well as occasional consultancy on development-related matters.
