A Warrior Caste of India by Keshav Paswan

About the book

The book describes about  a Martial and Warrior Caste- Dusadh of India who always fought for the upliftment of  Hindu religion and saved the country by the Muslim invaders , protected many Hindu temples  from being descreted by the Muslim rulers. They fought in the battle of Plassey  both sides, from  lord Clive's side in the British Army and from Mirjafar side who was trying to save his independence from British Company. Lord Clive won the battle and the British empire was founded permanently in India. Lord Clive was made first Governor General of India over this victory.  Many scholars are of the view that majority of British Army was made up of Dusadhs.
But this valliant  and martial caste was thrown in to the bottom row of social order and is presently considered as Scheduled Castes or Dalits in Indian society although they really belong to higher hindu caste.
