About the author

 Dr Lalit Mittal is the Founder and Director of Giggles clinics and Co-director of My own space – a nurturing centre catering to special needs children. He is also working as a Consultant Paediatrician in Fortis hospital, Delhi. Dr Mittal did his graduation in medicine (MBBS) from the prestigious Mysore Medical College & Research Centre, following which he completed his DNB (diplomate of National Board) in paediatrics from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi.  He also took training in neurodevelopmental paediatrics from the British paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA), took specialised training in paediatric nutrition (PGPN), and advanced training in paediatric nutrition and gut microbiota (IPRAN). He is also undergoing a post-graduate diploma in Developmental Neurology (PGDDN) from the Child Development Centre (CDC), Kerala University. Dr Mittal has an immense interest in the field of Autism and has interacted with various parent support groups and professionals through social media via webinars and national conferences. He has publications in national and international journals. He is also a life member of various professional bodies like the Central Indian academy of paediatrics (CIAP), Delhi- Academy of Paediatrics (IAP),  National Neonatology Forum (NNF), and Growth development behavioural Paediatrics (GDBP), and IAP Chapter of Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics.
