"NATHDWARA PICHWAIS" By Anu Julka

Pichwai art and paintings have been in practice for the last three hundred years in the Vallabhacharya Sect temples of Lord Krishna’s followers. The paintings, on textiles, portray Lord Krishna’s leelas. The Pichwai painting art of Nathdwara is an ancient art form passed on from generation to generation. The art is being taught under the teacher-disciple tradition of India. The book sheds light on Pichwai paintings and the artists of these paintings.

Anu Julka belongs to North India. She was born to a Hindu Kshatriya family in Punjab. She spent her childhood there. She received her Bachelor of Information Technology (IT), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Punjab Technical University, and M.A(English) and M.A(Hindi) from Lovely Professional University India.
