About the book
The novel ‘Chaand ki Tapan’ is based on a love story. Sameer, who is a writer, narrates the story of his book Chaand ki Tapan to some people. This story is about modern-day love and lovers, for whom selfish needs and comfort are a priority in life. In this materialistic world, love has also become substantial. The characters of this story Anoop and Sunanda have a similar love tale. They love each other, but when Anoop gets a chance to have a bright future, he chooses his career over love. Sunanda finds it hard to believe that Anoop is ready to sacrifice their love for his career and tries to persuade him. But their love becomes a victim of circumstances, and after a point, they go separate ways. After Sunanda leaves, Anoop discover a truth that change his life and he starts a quest to search for Sunanda. The story takes a turn at this juncture. A decision taken in haste changes Anoop’s life and it makes him feel helpless. The repercussion of his mistakes became a punishment they suffered for a lifetime. Chaand ki Tapan reflects the mentality of modern middle-class boys and girls and proves that impulsive decisions are always wrong.


About the author
Shyamli Pandey is a budding writer and great granddaughter of the renowned Hindi linguist Late. Acharya Chandrabali Pandey and granddaughter of late Parasnath Gowardhan ji, a famous critic of Hindi literature. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from Banasthali Vidyapith (Raj.) in Hindi literature along with being a voracious writer. Many of her famous stories, ‘Joothan’, ‘Antradwandh’, ‘kisi se kahna mat’, ‘Mukti’ etc. have been published so far in many newspapers and magazine. She is writing for various movies and short movies too.
