About the book
Tiny Ant named Tina is always being bullied by other ants in her colony. One day she decides to leave her colony, her home, forever. The journey she takes, teaches her the most important lessons of life i.e. resilience, courage, being exuberant and having confidence in self.
About the author
I am working in NSW Health. I have two daughters, Avni and Amber, both in primary school. They both face challenges in school. Sometimes it is difficult for kids to resolve those challenges or problems. I started telling my daughters these stories and found how deeply they understood the message. I shared this story with Michaela, my friend Maggie's daughter. She read this story and sent me back this message: I learnt - "Stand up for yourself, don’t be afraid and mean to anyone, think happy thoughts and be a quick thinker".
This book is very special to me as all the illustrations are hand drawn and not graphically designed. I would like to thank Yashmi for putting in so much efforts in illustrations which easily resonates with young minds.
