About the Author


Anu Julka is a freelancer from North India.   She received a Bachelor of Information Technology (IT), Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Punjab Technical University, M.A(English), and M.A(Hindi)from Lovely Professional University  India. She is a Happiness Program teacher with the Art Of Living Organization founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji. In 2008 she got an opportunity to do research on Pichwai Paintings with a prestigious college of Punjab. The experiences during the research work brought tremendous changes in her life, which motivated her to write a book. Her first book with Partridge Publication (USA) got placed in Miami Book Fair USA in  2018. She is the producer of devotional music albums too. 



About the Book


The Pichwais are the complex Paintings of Nathdwara (Rajasthan) on textile. These paintings are the traditional paintings of Pushtimarg which are designed for the idol of Shrinath Ji. Pichwais are hung behind the Shrinath Ji idol. These paintings elaborate the Leelas performed by Lord Krishna as a child. The paintings are of size 8 by10 feet. The Pichwai painting technique is taught under the teacher-disciple tradition.
