About the book


“Choramane Asithile” is a collection of 18 short stories that primarily tells the tales of small-town middle-class India with a few set in rural India and metro cities. Written in an easy flowing style, the stories present subtle human emotions in realistic settings and readily transport the reader to the background of the narratives. Fear & anxiety, love & hate, attachment & delusion, respect & despair rule the roost in different stories of the book. The stories are written with the modern busy reader in mind where each story can easily be finished within a maximum of 15minutes.


About the author


Subhransu Sekhar Mohapatra is a scientist by profession, but a writer by passion. Born on 23rd May 1975 in Cuttack, Odisha, Subhransu has been writing since childhood. He has two published poetry books to his credit, “Antararu Kichhi Pada” and “Patha Sangini”. His second poetry book “Patha Sangini” was appreciated by both readers and critics alike. “Choramane Asithile” is his first storybook. A keen observer of stuff happening around him, Subhransu loves to pen those down with lively imaginations thrown in. His writings paint society in a realistic manner with subtle insights into human emotions. He is famous for his insightful writings on his blog page. He is also the translator of the internationally acclaimed educational book “Trashonomics”.)
