This is a story of a socially backward girl. It depicts the sorrow of depressed class. She suffers mental agony due to her backward ignoble identity. She searched the roots of Shudra identity and was rendered helpless due to irrevocable social and political systems.

She is a good poetess. She is awarded Kaviratna Puraskar for her poem 'Gulista'.
Her poems in Marathi and English are popular. Her Gazals in Hindi are also popular.
