About the Author
"Somya Nayak is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian Languages, in The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad after completion of her M.A and M.Phil in the Chinese Language from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She has completed her doctoral thesis from the Centre for Chinese and southeast Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, in the year 2021. She has also presented many papers in National and International Conferences on China. She has co-authored books entitled “1000 Powerful Chinese Lexicon” and “Understanding China in the 21 st Century” in the years 2017 and 2020 respectively. In view of her work and contribution in the field of Chinese language and culture, she has been nominated as an expert member of the Project Monitoring and Mentoring Group (PMMG) of the DRDO, Bangalore. The area of her academic interest is: “Study on Evolution and Changes in the Chinese Language in a Historical Perspective”.
