An Unknown Destiny’ is a book about the life of a young girl who goes from her country of origin to another country in Africa, which is Ethiopia after being recruited by the Ministry of Education to teach English as a second language to High School students I Ethiopia. It is a journey of uncertainty, fear, adventure and new learning. However, fate has other things in store for her and she marries into a totally different culture and has a family of her own. Where will life take her in this new country? The trials and tribulations she faces set new goals and she faces everything bravely. In the end, she makes her own ‘Destiny.’
About the Author
Pushpalatha Joseph is a mother of three boys, former owner of a private school STEPS in Ethiopia and has lived in Ethiopia for thirty-seven years. She has obtained her master’s degree in English Literature from India and here in Ethiopia has educated around six thousand children from various social backgrounds who are now very successful in life. This book is about her journey from India to Ethiopia, her experiences and all that life taught her in Ethiopia. She has provided opportunities to many students and has also been awarded by the British Council at Addis Ababa for various stories. Some are even published in the English Text Books for High School students of Ethiopia. I hope this book will be of interest to all.
