I grew up watching my mother reading novels while cooking as she did not find the time to read during the day. I feel I have picked up the art of reading from my mother. As I read various genres, I apparently developed a knack for writing. My essays in the school days were read out in the classroom. I don’t know why I did not take up a degree in literature. Maybe life has its own ways of unfurling. In the past two years wherever I went, stories used to just take shape in my thoughts and at one point I decided to pen them down. An educator by heart and profession, kids, especially the younger ones have always been close to my heart. I also love walking and observing the surroundings. Many stories are inspired from my work with children and my enthralling walks around the city of Ahmedabad.ABOUT THE AUTHOR
